In partnership with the local recovery housing organizations, our Strong Start Housing program provides rental assistance to people accessing Peer support or Intensive Outpatient Treatment from Recovery Is Happening. This program is made available through grant funding from the Olmsted Medical Center, the Carl and Verna Schmidt Foundation, the United Way of Olmsted County, and the Rochester Area Foundation. We also accept donations from individuals for this program!

To qualify for participation in this rental assistance program, you must live in recovery housing and work with a Recovery Is Happening Peer Recovery Specialist as an integral part of your recovery.

With community partners like Join Our Journey recovery housing, people in “sober living” or “recovery housing” are offered a supportive way of living and opportunities to learn skills in a clean and sober environment.
